Re: Extreme Championship Backyard Wrestling

I like where Billah is going. What if we host our won extreme backyard wrestling event? put it up in neighborhoods? hold it in the park? or wander the nieghborhood on a saturday afternoon? I know the park at Lomas and carlisle always has a bunch of people there on weekends. It might be a good opportunity to have a wrestling match with all those people around. It is also seen very easily from lomas.  I'm sure there are other parks whick host events regularly and might provide a nice audience and participants?

Other good park settings would be that one on Richmond south of Coal and also Roosevelt Park, in the part next to Coal.

Re: Extreme Championship Backyard Wrestling

I disagree with the new line of thinking about this mission.  I'm still trying to get ahold of the kid's family; if that totally fails, then let's maybe talk about doing something else.  I see this as something much more focused and bizarre than just wrestling in costumes in a public place.  I see those Society for Creative Anachronism swordfighters in the park all the time--just going somewhere and putting on a show is not a prank by itself.  The core of this idea is giving this kid a wild and hilariously weird and totally unexpected experience.

Re: Extreme Championship Backyard Wrestling

I dunno, this mission will require a lot of people and a good amount of work. It seems to me to be a waste to stage such a thing for the benefit of only one child in a home where we aren't performing for more people. If the point is to make kids happy, then I think it would be preferable to do it in a place where there are lots of kids to enjoy the prank rather than one or a few. I also just don't think a residential area is really the best place for something like this, and for myself, I'd feel strange doing street theatre in someone's house, my opinion is that street theatre should be a public spectacle.
