Re: Missions I would like to lead

Here's a tentative preliminary plan... what do y'all think?

This Saturday March 7th

2:45ish pm -  agents begin to accumulate at the Whole Foods at Carlisle and Indian School and pretend to shop (or really shop, for that matter).  Don't indicate that we know each other.

3:00 pm exactly - all agents freeze in place (you can set a vibration alarm on your cell phone to go off in your pocket letting you know when to freeze).  Do not unfreeze, under any circumstances, for 5 minutes.

3:05 - everyone unfreezes and resumes shopping normally as though nothing happened.

Option: After this mission, we could move 2 blocks south on Carlisle and do the exact same thing at the Smiths at 3:30... do a little compare and contrast of what reactions we get.

Also, since this mission has no explicit agenda or symbolic meaning, I say feel free to wear any t-shirts you might own with political messages on them (I'm going to wear my "Free Tibet" shirt)

If this sounds good, I'll send an email out to everyone tomorrow letting them know it's ON.     -L

Catie-

Friday at 5 works perfectly for me.  Let's talk after class tomorrow - I have some ideas.

Re: Missions I would like to lead

Brilliant, because I've only got like one really (seemingly) good idea that keeps coming back to me. Friday at 5 it is!

Can we bring whoever to the freeze at Whole Foods?

That Freeze plan sounds perfect LaPayasa.

I am also interested in working on the Fake Rockstar Mission. Barney, Laurel mentioned you in reference to this one. Let's chat about it; I have some pretty stellar resources.

Clowns

Clowns:

For those with issues/insecurities/fears regarding the use of clowns, I'd like to second what Laurel said about our particular practices with them -- and also encourage you to look into the Clown and the Fool's role historically.  Typically a very empowering character who represents a lower status of a society somehow.  Think Chaplin and his Tramp character, not ICP or the rainbow-haired guy at the circus who grabbed your leg as a child.  Or at least my leg.
