Mike,
Thanks for the confession. Clowning is one of the Street Theatre Brigade's primary performance modes. However, the style and theory of clowning that we practice is very different from dominant notions of clowning, and we've actually been known to cure several individuals of the same clown fear you speak of! So, stay open to that possibility... we definitely don't use our clown characters for scary purposes, ever ever.
Also you're right, we can be more original than freezing. I just figured it would be something we could do without having to do any planning, to get back in the groove of public performance. It definitely wouldn't be filmed, for the exact reasons you mention. But if we can think of something more original to do this weekend that doesn't require planning, I'm totally into it. (the businessman garage sale might work, if people own suits and ties...)
Catie! You should absolutely take on the Bodies on the Mesa piece as a creative project. You'll do a great job with it, and I'll help out however I can, as long as it's before Spring Break. Next Thursday, maybe??
